The Kids' Surfs Up Bucket Hat is designed for any waterfront activity, from wading to swimming to pool play. It is lightweight, super soft, fast-drying, and comfortable enough to wear all day. The hat is made with a durable and comfortable UPF 50+ fabric that stretches and responds to vigorous movement.

The fabric is 78% polyester and 22% Lycra®, and it is chlorine and saltwater resistant, making it suitable for water play. The hat features a hook and loop fastener tab for adjusting the size of the crown, with a circumference ranging from 21 inches (S/M) to 22 inches (L/XL). The brim provides protective 2 1/2 inch (S/M) or 2 3/4 inch (L/XL) shade for the eyes and face.

To maintain the hat's performance, it should be hand washed in warm water and line dried. The hat is imported and not recommended for active fitness, as it is not moisture-wicking and may cause overheating.

Coolibar, the manufacturer, goes beyond testing the initial fabric and evaluates the UV protection before and after laundering, sunlight, and chlorinated water exposure, using industry standards to ensure true UPF 50+ protection. They analyze every fabric in-house for UPF and UVA/UVB ratings, testing each one 10 times in at least 3 spots (more for stripes, multicolor patterns, or prints) to verify the protection.
